I can still remember the very first postcard I received. It depicted a little girl in a red swimsuit. My grandma sent it to me when I was six or seven years old and just able to read her very individual handwriting. Since then I've always been fascinated by postcards and was immediately hooked when I heard about postcrossing.
As I've been collecting postcards for quite a long time now I have some special wishes. Most of all I'd like to receive postcards showing:
means of transport (trains, trams, streetcars, colorful busses, metro, metro stations...)
world-famous sights, UNESCO World Heritage
portraits of women (both art and photography)
a girl in a (red) swimsuit ;-)
Please don't worry if you can't fulfill these wishes. You will always make me and my mailbox happy with:
beautiful view cards of your hometown or country (both single and multi-view)
flowers (dandelion, dahlia, daisies, poppies ...)
churches, temples, mosques, holy places
doors, windows and (spiral) staircases
giraffes (both photos and illustrations)
octopusses, seahorses, shells
stormy or rainy weather, umbrellas
anything related to reading or writing, mailboxes
black and white photography
Christmas cards in December
The kid inside me will be thrilled about:
sweets, cake and chocolate
If you need more inspiration have a look at my favorites.
Please tell me a little bit about you or about the postcard you picked out for me. Thanks a lot!
Looking forward to finding your postcard in my mailbox.
