About Dawn...
Hi, I now live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada but am from Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. I married a Canadian and now after our sailing adventure I live in Canada.
I love reading. gardening. long warm summers. Besides Minneapolis I have lived in Duluth, Minnesota U.S.A. Winchester, Hants. England, France, Estartit, Gerona, Spain & for a short time in Javea & Denia, Spain. I loved them all.
My husband, Don, and I bought a sailboat in England, sailing first from our berth at Camper-Nicholson's in Gosport to The Isle of Wight, then across the Channel on a beautiful morning which turned into a Force 7 gale (for those of you who are sailors). It was quite an experience!!! We lived in France on our boat (28 feet long & 6 & 1/2 feet headroom) for about 6 months), then on to Spain. We stopped in the harbor of Estartit, Spain during a storm & tied up with the welcome help of some of the local fishermen. We made friends & stayed there living on our boat for about 1 1/2 years. Then down the coast to many ports including Barcelona, Javea & Denia. Finally back to Estartit where we sold our boat and on to Trier, Germany with the new owner. There we bought a Volkswagen and did some sightseeing in several countries. Then back to England & lived in Winchester for about 1 1/2 years. Then to my husbands home, Canada. I still keep in touch with friends we made on our travels. My husband passed away in July, 2002. I miss him very much, but remember him on our travels. He was truly happy.
The postcards I like include "from Finland cards by Raija Nokkala", and "Inge Looks Old Ladies", also those of where you live, cats as I recently adopted a beautiful 3 yr. old Himalayan cat. Tell me about your town or city or your hobbies as I love to learn.
Could you please upload the postcard you are sending to me. I thank you.

P.S. Thanks to all of you who have sent such wonderful postcards and interesting stamps! I am learning a lot. AND at this time of year I wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day and a very special Easter. Dawn
