About Zjazjie...

Hi fellow Postcrossers! I am crazy-excited to be a part of Postcrossing...snail mail Rocks!

I live in Birmingham, AL, USA. Alabama is in southeastern United States, with Birmingham in the central part of the state. Our best seasons are spring and fall.

Here’s a tad about me:

*I love Jesus!
*Artsy, but not an artist by most standards (!)
*Create, create, create...and make messes in the process
*Laugh a lot
*Umm...read Way more than I should, considering the pile of laundry currently whistling for my attention
*Oh! I can't whistle. Which seems silly.
*Nature lifts my spirit; my yard is teeny, but there is green stuff growing year round (not just weeds!)
*Watercolors make my heart sigh happily. Not even fine art, necessarily, just seeing sheer, sweet watercolor.
*[Ahem...Shiny, Browncoats.]
*Snail mail letters, pcs, mail art...these are each little bits of personal, exceptional joy. Thrills me there are likeminded people sending Cheer via post. Woohoo!
Hee hee...I'm giddy with anticipation about receiving your postcards!

Happy preferences: I especially like when there's handwritten text telling me something about YOU, your joys, your life:
-What do you like to read?
-Do you have a favorite flower? (Boys are allowed to like flowers, too! God gave you eyes, right?!)
-If you got a new puppy this week, what would you name it?
-Favorite animal?
-Do you create? garden, art, write, cook
-What are you doing today?
-What gives you happy heart joy?
-Pet peeves?
-I'd love to pray for you if you tell me your prayer request!

Okay, brevity is NOT my thing, but IF you've made it this far down the page, then I'd *perhaps* most enjoy receiving postcards:

-of nature (Especially trees, plants, nests, local scenery or your national/parks), botanica
-Art: Watercolors(!), drawing, painting, calligraphy/cool lettering, a photograph you took...handpainted postcards, if you like mailing your own works
-dappled light
-Nifty fun or inspirational quotes
-children's/book type illustrations (ex. Inga Paltser)
-post related (mailboxes, etc)
-cottages, special doors, unusual windows, fun or sweet architectural concepts
-Wildlife (preferably out and about, not in zoo/captivity):
Birds, HEDGEHOGS, sheep (okay, sheep in fields are Obviously in captivity, but the charm factor can be high), deer, frogs/lizards, bears, FOXES...the usual suspects. Also interesting, wacky looking animals (ie. tarsier)
-I'd love a postcard of a quokka, if anyone finds one. I'm not convinced this is a real animal :)

I enjoy serendipity & ALWAYS have room for fun surprises in my mailbox. Your pc might open my eyes & a new spot on my Favorites list! If it’s display worthy (I MAY have a brag wall of snail mail eye candy...), you like it, send it on.

I use postmarked stamps, WASHI, lovely stickers in mail & art, so *IF* you enjoy including things in an envelope~Awesome. Direct swaps?

Huge, happy thanks in advance for taking time to write.

**Cheery postcrossings!
Zjazjie
