Hello! My name is Edgar, and I live in the port city of Mobile, Alabama, USA.
I'm a collector of all sorts of things, which is one reason I've joined Postcrossing. I have a collection of US postage stamps, first day covers, U.S. coins, and postcards. I look forward to adding to my postcard collection. No envelopes, please, just a stamped postcard. I really like interesting stamps if you have them.
I am looking forward to sharing these with my 7 young grandchildren - Keller, Callyn, Lucy, Wesley, Etta, Fox, and Piper. No nudity or messages inappropriate for children, please.
Some ideas for you to consider::
-Tourist postcards, map postcards, city views, landscapes, big letter “Grettings from...” postcards.
-Cathedrals, Churches, Saints, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Pope Francis and other religious-themed cards would be greatly appreciated.
-Amateur Radio, Telegraphy, Morse Code, Ham Radio QSL cards. Electronics, vintage radios, communications equipment. I'm an amateur radio operator, call sign N4EWF.
-Planets, stars, the sun, the moon, space exploration.
-Magic - Houdini, Slydini, Thurston, Ricky Jay, classic magic posters, Penn & Teller, and photos.
-Music - Grateful Dead, any 60's or 70's rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Blues, etc. Love Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Lionel Hampton. You can send a postcard of your favorite musical genre or group.
-German Postcrossers: I love Kraftwerk. I saw them in New Orleans 4 years ago; one of my favorite concert experiences. Followed them since the 70's. Anything related to Kraftwerk would be a fabulous addition to my collection.
-I love Fotofolio postcards. Pantone postcards are nice, too.
-Art and Artists, Books and writers.
Please don't stress over which card to send. Any card in my mailbox will be received with a smile :-) Feel free to send a postcard that you'd like to receive.
Support Postcrossing if you can. Think of it as planting smiles around the world.
Be kind. It's important.
