About Lucie...

Hello Postcrossers

I am Lucie, from England. I live and work at a campsite not far from Barcelona, Spain.

My biggest passion is travel. I have traveled to nearly 40 countries and I am always on the look out for new recommendations of places to explore. It's so hard to pick a favourite but I am particularly drawn to the Americas. I love Mexico and can't stop going back - the art, the food, the people - infact, everything about it!

My second biggest passion is cooking. I especially love spicy food and hot sauces. I enjoy experimenting with different cuisines from around the world.

I like all things kawaii - Studio Ghibli, Miffy, Snoopy, Hello Kitty and Moomins.
In contrast to this, I enjoy unusual and strange films - John Waters, Rob Zombie, Stanley Kubrick, Wes Craven and David Lynch.

My favorite artists are Frida Khalo, Fernando Botero, Gary Baseman, Tamara de Lempicka, Yuko Higuchi and Tsuguharu Foujita. I like old advertising and posters of the circus or sideshows.

I absolutely love David Bowie - I'm sure the world hasn't been quite right since he died!
I'm fascinated by subcultures, it probably comes from growing up with punk and hippy influences from my parents, and spending my younger years in the rave scene.

After a trip to California, I am obsessed by retro American diners, road signs, shop signs, neon and motel signs. Actually, old shop signs and neon signs fascinated me generally.

My mum is also a Postcrosser (Pipster) and I love sitting and choosing the perfect postcard for somebody with her. Maybe you've sent or received a card from her before?!

Here in Spain we often receive a large pile of postcards in one day, rather than one by one. So don't worry - despite what my 'received cards' says, I do register all cards on the day I get them.

Lovely postage stamps make me happy and no envelope needed. I really look forward to hearing from you! Have a great day.
