👋😃 Hello & nice to meet you!
My name is Maarten, I am 51 years of age and I live in Assen (The Netherlands). I'm divorced and father of a 23 year old son. I live in a special protected housing facility, because I'm not capable of living independent. I work daily in the forest next to my house, collecting liter and garbage that doesn't belong in the natural environment. I like to make long-distance walks through the natural countryside. There I make a lot of photographs.
My hobbies are of course postcrossing, collecting stamps and postcards. I like to watch supernatural horror movies and war movies. I can’t live without rock music; as loud as possible! I love to play videogames; my all-time favorite is War Robots. Furthermore, I regularly watch documentaries about history on YouTube, to feed my curiosity. I like stand up comedy a lot too!
I prefer to receive your card in an envelope, blank and unwritten, with a small (or big) letter next to it. This way, I can remove the stamp without damaging the contents. Write to me about who you are, and what’s going on in your mind; this really means a lot to me. As a collector, this is the ideal combination for me (a mint card, a personal letter and the stamp!).
However, you are free to do it any way YOU like, and I will appreciate it just as much; long live freedom!
Here I give you some ideas about the cards I like to receive. These are only hints. If you have your own favorite card in mind; please send that one!

All the best,
