Hi!! My name is Alana or Алёна (in Russian). 😊
I am originally from Siberia - the coldest part of Russia (brrr!). I moved to USA in the early 2000's. I've lived in New York, New Mexico, Washington and Northern California, and finally settled in Southern California where I am apparently the happiest.🌞
I've been to Thailand (my favourite destination!😍), Bali, Dominican Republic, the jungles of Peru near Iquitos and to Canada.
🧦🧣 I love knitting and crocheting,  my specialty is socks and granny stitch blankets. 😊
😻😸 I absolutely and wholeheartedly Love kitties! I've had the privilege of sharing my life with four sweet and loving ones, but time took its toll and as of November 2022 i only have one 16 year old kitten left whom i love to pieces. ❤
📚 I cannot imagine my life without books and welcome suggestions of books that touched and moved your heart.📚 In the absence of/In addition to a book recommendation I'd so love to read about your happiest memory from your life.😊

If you send me a card and it expires, please send me a message to let me know its ID number and I will register it anyway.🤗 I feel too sad about all the expired postcards floating somewhere out there in the Neverland 😔 especially if the image has been pre-uploaded -  I would so love to at least see it!😊
I have discovered a PhotoScan App and I AM IN LOVE with it! 😍 What a quality postcard-taking!😁 It leaves no glare and you can rotate it and adjust the corners! Highly recommended for all your beautiful postcards!☺ I love to look at fellow postcrossers' walls, each one is like a treasure chest that tells a story😍 It's difficult for me to understand why some delete ALL pictures of received postcards from their walls, but i accept their choice to do so.
I've considered adding a wish list sooo many times, mostly for people who love to see wish lists, but with each newly received postcard I think to myself: "See! This wouldn't have been on the list, and you might have missed out on receiving this particular postcard so thoughtfully selected for you!" So, i opt to remain sans wishlist, as I truly welcome all and any postcard your heart selects for me!🤗
