Hello from South West Louisiana ~

I am a New Orleans girl transplanted to Houma after Hurricane Katrina. I live here with my awesome husband, Joel and our 2 daughters, Abigail & Eleanor.

On Sunday, August 29th on the 16th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ida came into Houma and smacked our area. Ida blew 2 pine trees onto our roof and caused severe damage to our roof, our daughter’s bedroom and our entry way. We had horrible black mold. Thanks to wonderful friends, we have had a roof over our heads since then.

In March 2023, we are now home owners again. It feels amazing to be able to say that again.

God is good, all the time!

I live in the bayou region of Terrebonne Parish, but not on a bayou. Houma is considered part of bayou country.

Elfie Joyce is my precious pup 🐶. She is a miniature schnauzer and such a good girl!

My profile pic is of me and my first pup, Rambo. We had rescued him and he was with us for 9 years. He was also a miniature schnauzer, and that is how we fell in love with the breed.

Since I joined 15 years ago, I have shared Postcrossing with many people. I have always loved Happy Mail and this is an awesome way to spread love.

I ride in a Mardi Gras Krewe, 💜💚👑 , “Aquarius”, and will be riding on a float for the parade.
