About Melli...

Aloha everyone,
My name is Melanie, I'm 29 years young and I live in Arnhem, Netherlands.
I just recently moved over here from Ireland, with my partner for his work.
Originally I’m from the Harz mountains in Germany.
I'm pretty new here at Postcrossing, but I immediately fell for this idea.
Traveling is my big love. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and getting to know their countries and their cultures.
I always like to say: "I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list".
I think Postcrossing is a lovely option to travel without leaving your home and I'm really curious about getting my first postcards! :)

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel and series like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office, The Big Bang Theory or Game of Thrones (pretty mixed up, I know).
I'm mostly carrying a book with me, because there could be always a little bit time for reading.
I really enjoy spending time with my kitty and my doggo, going out for dinner with my friends, going on festivals or concerts (I don't really prefer one kind of music, I like Rock as much as Electronic Music, Indie, Reggae etc.).
I'm a beginner at playing the guitar and I like doing sports like hiking and swimming. I'm always up for an adventure and enjoy doing stuff spontaneously like going on a road trip or camping.
_____________________________________________________

I'm absolutely happy about every postcard, which I'll receive, but my favorites are postcards with breathtaking landscapes, interesting, famous or remarkable views of your hometown and if you're coming from a capital city I would be really glad about a postcard which is showing the skyline or a panoramic view.

My Zodiac sign is Pisces and as I'm still a child at heart, I would also enjoy cards with mermaids, unicorns, northern trolls, blue cats from Irina Zeniuk (so in love with them!) or my Zodiac sign on it. I also like postcards with an uncommon shape or made out of unusual material, such as wood, cork or metal.

I'm not a really big fan of home made cards or seasonal cards, except for Christmas.
But at the end it doesn't matter what kind of card you're sending, just write something down on it. :)
Let it be something about you and your hometown, your latest adventure, a portrait, a shared family recipe, your favorite book, a joke, a funny story or anything you want.

Oh and I'd really like to read your favorite saying, quote or even your favorite swearword in your original language and if you have an own script (like Chinese or Kyrillic) please use this - of course with the translation please :D
Ok, more than enough from me now! Sorry, for this long text and thanks for reading it!

I'm really looking forward for your cards!

Happy Postcrossing!
Melli
