About SueAn...

What a wonderful world we live in, and how nice it is to receive a small note from you.
I have a 27 year old daughter and a 24 year old son. My daughter and granddaughter live across the country, which makes it hard to spoil them. Family is extremely important to me.
I was a widow for a time but recently remarried. My husband is Ghanaian. He is amazing. We are still working through the immigration process.
I recently retired as the Director of our county library district. Previous to this, I was the head of technical services and cataloged books. I was also a high school English teacher, but the grading almost killed me. (As of late May 2022, I am again the Library Director at the request of my former employers. I only work part time though.)

I am a small town girl with down-home values. My father was a real cowboy, and I am proud of my heritage.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a child of God, and know that Heavenly Father loves me and loves you because we are all His children.

Please tell me something about yourself. I would love the messages to be handwritten. I care more about people than cards. What was the last good book you read? How did you come to do what you do for a job? Who was your first love? How did you fall in love? How did you meet your best friend (If he/she is not your spouse)? What makes you happy? What are you passionate about?

I would love handmade cards of any type.

I am interested in:

maps of Africa (especially Ghana), or anything to do with Africa
rain and umbrellas
animated drawings of whales
silos and graineries (If you are from Australia or Minnesota, I would love silo art.)
graphic design
alphabet cards (handmade would be great)
Bauhaus (If you are from Germany and have anything on this, I would love it.)
cards with "Berlin" on them (the word) as it is my granddaughter's name
peacocks (my husband raises them in Ghana)
Ampelmann or "-------man" from your country (If you are from Japan and have anything about Pepsi Man, I would love it.)
metro or subway maps
art deco
the Kennedy family
Henri Cartier-Bresson photographs
Richard Brautigan
Walt Whitman
cows (illustrated)
octopus or octopi (illustrated)
James Bond (any of the 6)
Noah's ark
Hollie Hobbie

I don't really care for multi scene or tourist cards.

I would love to hear ideas about how you are displaying or saving the postcards you receive.

If you've read this far, you might want to look at my website/blog also. I've just launched it. (If it doesn't connect on the first try, please try again.)

Happy words and wishes.
