About Alli...

Hello! My name is Alli, and I am a university student studying studio art and art history. I live in St. Louis and love my city dearly. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting, sketching, sewing, baking, reading, walking, traveling, and antiquing.

I have just returned to postcrossing after a semester studying abroad in Europe! Now back home, my wanderlust has only increased! I was based in Madrid, but also traveled to England, France, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal.

London and Brussels have since become two of my favorite world cities. Any postcards from these locations would be greatly appreciated! I also fell in love with the English countryside, and long to return for a longer trek in the future (plus Scotland, Wales and Ireland), so postcards from such places would be marvelous (e.g. Lake District).

Please do write something on your postcard as that's the best part. I would especially enjoy if you tell me about your favorite artist or draw a little something.

I am currently collecting postcards with:

* black cats, especially ones accompanied by girls/women
* sewing machines or embroidery
* Kim Ji-Hyuck illustrations (e.g. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51oiZIGT5CL.jpg)
* Anne of Green Gables

These are some of my favorite things for postcards:

*cute/kawaii illustrations (e.g. Jetoy Cats, Moomintroll, Lancy cats, Papermate dolls, Shinzi Katoh, Kim Ji-Hyuck, Studio Ghibli)

*retro illustrations (e.g. from books, posters, or packaging labels)

*photos of retro dolls or toys, especially KEWPIE!

*book-related - Anne of Green Gables, Harry Potter, classics & fantasy

*fandom related: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Merlin, Kyoto Animation, Studio Ghibli

*vintage photographs (portraits in particular)

*a personal drawing or handmade card

*artwork; my favorite period is the late 1800s to early 1900s (e.g. Pre-Raphaelites, Victorian, Art Nouveau)

*animals; my favorites are cats, otters, foxes, and seals

*fibers & textiles (e.g. sewing, embroidery, crochet, tapestry)

*old/vintage buildings/houses/furniture

*regional/traditional clothing

*landscapes of forests, meadows, waterways, and old towns

Thank you so much! I'll love anything you send and can't wait to check my mailbox!
