About Larissa...

Hi there!

I'm Larissa, twenty-seven years old and from the Netherlands. I have so may hobbies I always forget to mention some, but I'll try. First of all, I love almost all forms of theatre. Dancing (especially (classical) ballet), musicals, plays, opera - the theatre is where go to find comfort, joy, recognition and so much more. I'm also very interested in literature, though I read mostly (young adult) fantasy, historical novels or poetry. Oh and history, I guess that's my last big passion. There are so much time periods I find interesting, and I'm also really into costume history, feminist history and art history.

Of course all postcards are welcome, but if you're looking for ideas; I'd really appreciate one of these things:
[&] Theatre, musicals, ballet, dancing, opera etc. (West-End, Broadway, shows or theatres or balletdancers or whatever in your country). And if you really want to surprise me, my biggest musical theatre loves are Pia Douwes, Willemijn Verkaik, Elisabeth das Musical, Les Misérables, Wicked and the Phantom of the Opera.
[&] Elisabeth of Austria (Sisi or Sissi) or Anne Boleyn. They're my historical 'idols', so if you have a card that has something to do with one of them, I would really LOVE to receive it :D
[&] Historical persons that are important to you and/or your country (and tell me something about them!) – I’m mostly interested in females!
[&] Other history related cards
[&] Vintage pictures, black&white, retro advertisements, vintage ballet, old photographs, etc.
[&] Fashion, flowers, pastels (you can visit my Tumblr to see what I mean)
[&] Cards related to fantasy, fairies, mermaids, fairytales and stuff like that
[&] Literature (books, poems, writers, etc.)
[&] Cards with the sea or the moon/stars/galaxy
[&] Forget-me-not flowers
[&] Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies
[&] Paintings by John William Waterhouse (or other Pre-Raphaelite art)
[&] Illustrations by Emily Winfield Martin
[&] Harry Potter (I’m a Gryffindor/Ravenclaw)
[&] W.I.T.C.H. comics
[&] Peter Rabbit (or other illustrations with bunnies/rabbits)
[&] If you're from (near) Siena, Italy -> the contrade (Valdimontone mostly)

You can also take a look at my favourites (or see my Tumblr-page) to see what sorts of cards I love, but if you don't have any of such cards, please don't hesitate and just send a card you like!

And if you want some inspiration for things you can write about;
[&] I would like it if you could write the date on it too. Thanks for doing so and I appreciate it!
[&] I have an obsession with strange languages, so it would be really nice if you could write some sentences in your language, like a proverb or greetings or something (with translations and meaning please)
[&] A quote you find inspirational
[&] Yourself or something random that happend to you
[&] A secret of yours (I promise I won't tell it to anyone)
[&] The weather at the moment (where you live)

Happy Postcrossing!

With Love,
Larissa
