About Stephanie...

Hello!

My name is Stephanie and I am from Clio, Michigan, United States of America. I was a member of postcrossing years ago, but took a break from it as I had many personal issues arise. I want to reconnect through postcards as much has changed in my life since 2017. I have one son named Kellen and he is 24 years old. I also have two cats, Maisy and Luna.

My husband passed away in 2021 from cancer and left me as a young widow. The journey was difficult and I want to send positive thoughts and prayers to those who are battling cancer at this time.

I LOVE to camp during the Michigan summers (June, July, August). I also love to visit lighthouses! I have a lighthouse "passport" book that many of the lighthouses in the United States will place a stamp in the book once you visit their lighthouse. It is a fun hobby that keeps me active as well. My favorite lighthouse is called Crisp Point and it is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is about a five hour drive to get there, but well worth the trip!

Some things that I have on my bucket list to do in my lifetime include, riding in a hot air balloon, travelling to Hawaii, and visiting ALL 50 United States. I was recently able to cross Ireland off my bucket list as I took an 11 day trip to Europe in November (Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, and Luxemburg). I have always had a special interest in the Irish Culture and would like to return there soon.

I also just returned from a cruise where we visited the Domincan Republic, Aruba, and Bonaire. I love to cruise!

If you are unsure of what to write, please tell me how you or family/friends celebrate their birthday! I love birthdays and think they should be a big deal!

Or... Tell me about your traditional wedding. Do you take the man's last name like we mostly do in America? What are some traditions of the big day? Are weddings mostly on the weekends?
