About Kira...
Hello! I am a recent transplant of San Diego, California. The West Coast is still the best coast!
I love getting lost in new places, thrift shopping, reading, writing letters, French culture and language, going on walks with the dogs, cooking with friends, crafts, and hiking. I'm a recent graduate of California Institute of Integral Studies and have a masters in counseling psychology with an emphasis in Somatic psychology. As an MFT Intern and existential wanderer, I spend a lot of time pondering and testing out how I can help people, especially children. I care about people and I dream of a more inclusive, kind, and connected world where everybody (each body) feels safe. I'm learning how to be a therapist and finding out more and more about myself and the world along this path.
Having left San Francisco at the end of April 2016, I am beginning a new chapter of life in aunny southern California. I anticipate many trips to the ocean, fresh and local delights (namely beer!), and friendly attitudes and perspectives. I'm an Intern at Transitions Family Program, a clinical program out of Hannah's House. I work from home and I'm raising a puppy!
I am very excited to receive a postcard from you. I would love to receive a postcard that includes unique aspects of your culture or yourself. I especially enjoy unique or vintage cards that might be hard to come by. Really, though, I am open to any kind.
