I live in Essex in the UK with my husband Kevin. We were married in 1990. We have two grown up daughters and a Herman tortoise called Speedy, who is very naughty!
I am a part time swimming teacher, but my passion is finding supporters to send me used and new postage stamps and other philatelic items for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. My Facebook group is called 'Friends Of BCRT - Postage Stamp Appeal & More! Please join as we need more members from anywhere around the world. I can be googled! Fame at last! I do other fundraising activities for them as well so life is always hectic.
I help run Rainbows (Girl Guiding) as well. My family have always been connected to Girl Guiding and Scouts.
My hero is Winnie The Pooh and my poor husband is surrounded by everything Pooh Bear related.....Including our bedding! We are a Disney orienated family and even Kevin is know as Grumpy from Snow White!
I love jigsaw puzzles, especially Wasgij's, but I don't do any that are all sky etc. I also like reading, wordsearch, arrowords, pottering around in my garden and having a cuppa and a chinwag and a giggle with my family and friends.
I am happy to be at home pottering away at what I am meant to be doing. I always try to be positive about life and what goes on in it.
With reference to postcards I am happy to receive anything, but not creepy crawlies and reptiles please.
