Hi, This is Mandar I am an Indian expat living this beautiful country, Uganda for almost last 10 years. All these 10 years, i lived in energetic city of Kampala.
My Avatar name 'SSabalongo' has come from Luganda language which literally means 'A man who delivered mutliple kids at a time' or Father of multiples. Yes, i am father of Triplets! !
Since childhood, i always had fascination towards anything which is from foreign country. I always fascinated by Airplane and even a view of airplane used to excite me. I always love to drop or receive a relative/friends which come or go to Abroad because i always like Airports!
In 90's many Indians particularly Software and IT Engineers had opportunities to visit abroad for jobs. I couldn't join these field and was really heartbroken because i thought i can never go to abroad. However, in 2015 i got opportunity to come to Africa for work. That made me very happy as for me, the dream finally came true ! Later i could travel to other african countries like Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Zambia, Burundi and Rwanda.
Due to my fascination for foreign countries, i always had hobbies like collecting stamps, Coin/banknotes, fridge magnets and later Postcrossing!
I joined Postcrossing in 2011 and remained active for all these 12 years ! Many times i take pause but the feeling of receiving something in your postbox excites me so much that after sometimes i again resumes this wonderful hobby :)
Through this hobbies i could befriend many interesting people and attended many offline and onilne Meetups ! In fact, i along with the few other postcrossers arranged 2 postcrossing meetups in Kampala !
You can send me any card, it will make me happy !

Swappers, i have already got cards of almost all the countries in the world, so if you want a poscard from Uganda, Please send me a Fridge Magnet from your city !

PS - Its difficult to get cards in Uganda or they are quite same which i sent earlier also i have very big collection of postcards bought from various places or gifted by someone. Hence you can expect a beautiful postcard from me but its not always necessarily about Uganda !
