I'm a 32 year old software engineer living and working in upstate NY, near where I grew up. I've loved a number of outdoor recreational pursuits like hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and target shooting for as long as I can remember. I've also cultivated a love for reading ((auto)biographies, history, technological, cultural, philosophical/religious, some good fiction or fiction series like the Dresden Files, the LotR, Terry Pratchett, C.S. Lewis' "Space Trilogy", etc.) and listening to or playing music in a wide variety of genres (classical, Anglo-Irish folk, progressive rock, etc.). I've recently begun cultivating interests in electronic music and painting/sculptures (esp. impressionistic works), and am delving into some new hobbies and interests like scuba diving and home brewing. I love postcards with art that deeply reflects the culture/geography of its origin, or artistic pieces that resonate deeply with the sender. Looking forward to hearing from cool people from around the globe! :-)
