About Spade...

Hello everyone,

I'm a Russian girl living in France with my husband, toddler son and our super fluffy white cat that I brought all the way from Moscow.

If your native language is German, Spanish or Dutch, please use them, I'll be really glad.
Russian speakers: ко мне на "ты", пожалуйста. :)

I love books, listening to music (especially classic rock), learning languages, and animals. I used to be a musician myself, now I'm more into creative writing. I learned about the book Postcard Stories (https://www.postcrossing.com/blog/2017/09/22/postcard-stories), and even though I haven't read it, it inspired me to start writing my own little stories on cards, so occasionally I do that.

I see postcrossing as a way to meet new people, so I think the message is the most important part. Please do write something! For instance, what is your idea of a good day? Your favourite book or movie? Your favourite saying? What is the point in living? Why do cats purr? What is the most awesome fact you recently learned? Does your head spin when you try to imagine how big the sun is? Or maybe just copy your favourite poem or song lyrics onto the card, if you're not in the mood for sharing your thoughts. Anything would be lovely, really!

As for the postcards: first of all, I'll be happy to receive any card.
Second, please no envelopes! I love seeing the travel marks.
If you use a pretty stamp, that would be extra nice.

Some of the themes I like, to give you inspiration:
- women (any type, photos or drawn, young and old, conventionally or non-conventionally beautiful);
- erotic (only women) and pin-ups;
- children's books illustrations;
- fashion illustrations, fashion;
- anything to do with music (David Bowie, Bob Dylan or Pink Floyd would just make my day), ballet, dancing, yoga, figure skating, soccer;
- animals (especially giraffes, cats, sloths, turtles, but any living creature is very welcome), dragons;
- urban sketches, graffiti, amazing landscapes, Buddhist temples, New York;
- inspiring sayings, depressing sayings, stupid jokes, lettering;
- X-Men and Batman, Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows and Moomins; The Simpsons and Futurama, Mr.Robot and Welcome to Night Vale;
- New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair magazine covers, movie posters, design elements;
- Inga Paltser, Inge Löök, Carl Larsson, Alfons Mucha;
- Leonardo DiCaprio, Marilyn Monroe;
- Jetoy, Barbie, Snoopy;
- handmade cards are just the best!

If you're choosing between a photographic amd a painted city view, I'd prefer the painted one. I'm not really a fan of typical touristy cards but, as I already said, any card is a pleasure.

You can also look at my favourites. I try to keep it as some kind of a wish list, so I don't favourite the cards I receive, but I do appreciate all of them very much.

I'm also looking for a penpal or two, so if you want to send letters, don't hesitate to contact me!

That seems to be all for now. Have a lovely day, and see you in my mailbox!
