About Adrea...

About me:
I am just a girl living in Canada who would like to see pieces of other people's worlds. I am and always have been in love with glimpsing into someone's life. There is a certain amount of mystery in not knowing anything about a person, but catching a tiny glimpse...like driving down a highway and looking briefly into that lone farmhouse window....or seeing an old woman selling handmade crafts at a market...or looking at what song the person on the bus next to you is listening to. These glimpses facinate me.

What to write if you’re stuck for ideas:
-Something about you or what's going on it your life right now.
-Something that happened to you recently. (Good OR bad.)
-Describe a beautiful scene that you love
-Tell a secret you're too afraid to say out loud.
-Tell me your favourite book and why I should read it. (Or movie/play/sport)
-A memory that is significant in your life.
-A tidbit about your family life
-Tell me a weird habit that you have
Tell me literally anything. It can be happy, sad, simple, or anything in between. As long as it's about you. (See below for one more ideas of what to write.)

What kind of cards I like:
While standard touristy postcards can be nice, what I'd really love is to see postcards that are interesting to someone else. It doesn't need to be anything special or specific....just something you like. A drawing that catches your eye and makes you pause, a band that you like, your favourite animal, a scene from your city is okay as long as it has special meaning to you. (For example, the Tower Bridge in London is beautiful, but it's just standard if that's all it is. However, if that was where you shared your first kiss 27 years ago...now it's interesting.) If you'd like, write on the postcard a quick explanation of why you find your postcard interesting. I would love to receive these cards and will do my best to send this as well.

Extra stuff:
Feel free to write your postcard in your own language as well. Again, there is mystery there and I love that. It easier for me to read English, obviously, but I don’t mind at all if it’s easier for you to write in your first language.
