About Birgit...

Updated: Dec. 1st, 2023

Hello and welcome to my profile :)

My name is Birgit and I live in a small town somewhere in Germany with my daughter Lina (born in March 2020), my boyfriend and a cute cat. I work as a human resources manager. Running is my favorite sports (I'm still running as often as I can) and I love to visit sports events.

I used to travel a lot and I hope I can show the world to my daughter one day.

Postcards I'd really love to get (I try to put them on my walls):
- handmade cards (I love to make handmade postcards on my own and send them to people who like it. There are so many different options for handmade postcards so I can't wait to see your ideas and creations)
- about peace - I dream of a world without war
- about sports, esp. about Olympic Games
- with unicorns
- street art (like Banksy)
- Christmas cards in November / December

Other postcards I'd like to receive
- UNESCO world heritage sights
- night views, landscapes, map cards and animals from your country
- maxi cards

My daughter is a big Peppa Pig fan but I've never seen a Peppa postcard so far. Maybe you have one for her or you can send a handmade one.

Please don't worry if you don't have these cards. I'm sure you will send me a great card!

I'm not a stamp collector but I enjoy postcards with beautiful stamps. If there are postcrossing stamps in your country I'd love to have them on my card :)

When I open my mailbox I look at the text side of the cards first. So please write something on the postcard. Maybe something about you, your hobbies or your job. If you want you can answer these questions: Do you practice sports or attend sports events? What did you do today? Which places did you visit / would you like to visit?

Receiving postcards is only one part of Postcrossing. I also enjoy the other part: to send the postcards. I have many postcards at home and always spend some time to find the "right" one. And I even try to find a stamp that fits to the recipient. I decorate the postcards with washi tape and stickers and then I write the card.

Happy Postcrossing!
