I ran into my future husband David at the Zoo in Stuttgart, Germany (where I grew up). We moved to his home state, South Carolina, in 1997. Now we have our own little zoo: an orange cat, Rojo, 5 tortoises, 4 snakes, 3 cockatiels and an aquarium with guppies. Our beloved Australian shepherd Skye passed away in 2020.
We have 3 grown children - one son currently in New York, our daughter and younger son are in Germany for their studies.

I am a graphic artist and painted a couple of large murals in our area: https://www.facebook.com/brigitte.selby/photos - I‘m interested in any local murals in your area. In my free time I take photos, practice yoga, go hiking, do gardening and listen to audiobooks or podcasts all the time. If you do too, would you share your favorits?
My favorite adventure book is "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer. I like the writer David Sedaris and I‘m reading Heather Cox Richardson‘s newsletter every day. Favorite tv-show: Breaking Bad.

Ideas for what to write: do you have a funny story about mixing up a word in another language? An Oldtimer in Germany is a classic car- here it means “old man"...😅 Or do you have a quote you like to share?

I appreciate all cards - handmade, multi-view, black + white, unusual materials, ads, funny, ugly, bizarre…You can make me VERY happy if you have a NOW & THEN card (historic photo juxtaposed with current photo).
