The perfect postcard? A picture of a food native to your country or region and, on the back, your favorite recipe using that food. Or maybe just a little blurb about the food - why it's important in your region, your favorite way to prepare it, the best way to tell if it's ripe, etc, etc.

See, like the majority of Americans, I love food. A lot. I enjoy trying new foods. I enjoy shopping for food. I enjoy going out to eat with friends. I love eating fruit seconds after I picked it off the tree. I love food so much, I'm in school to study it. A doctorate for studying food and cultures? Yes, please!

So, even if your postcard doesn't have a picture of food, write something about your favorite food, food custom, place to shop for food or eat (so I know where to go whenever I travel in your area)... anything about food in your country!

Other things to note:

Postcards with animals are cool, too. Postcards of something local to your area, too - local landmarks or national parks would be wonderful. Quirky cards rock, too. Actually, I'm cool with any kind of postcard, and will probably be sending a variety of cards myself.

Homemade postcards are perfectly okay with me!

I'll try to scan cards that I send and receive. I'm sorry if I forgot to scan one of the cards I sent you.

I register all postcards within 24 hours of receiving them. Please do not message me about expired postcards. I do not believe it is in the spirit of postcrossing to register cards that did not arrive. Some of my cards have not made it, but that's okay - sometimes the mail doesn't work.
