About Sasha...

Hello dear postcrossers!
I am 24, I live in Kiev with my husband - together we rent an apartment.

I used to work as a teacher of English but only for a couple of months, I quit as I didn't really enjoy the process that much. But I do love studying languages - this is my longest lasting hobby! I can read in English, French and German. I love finding out how the language "works" and to understand why something is said the way it's said.

I enjoy travelling, but I had only once been abroad - for our honeymoon trip. It was an exciting experience and I am anxious to discover more new countries, people and traditions.

I like stormy weather, laughing hysterically with friends, sipping wine while reading, imagining different situations before falling asleep, sitting beside the fire in the forest with friends and listening to a guitar and singing; I always cry at emotional moments in movies, songs or even ads. I love to sing, but I am crappy at it so I only do so when nobody can hear me. Sometimes I think of the world as of the place which is more idealistic than it really is. In childhood I read everything I could lay my hands on which has now probably resulted in me being a little too naive or wanting to always do a right thing. I'm too lazy to do a make-up or wash my hair on weekends when I don't go to work and not meeting with anyone. I am never offended when my friends or colleagues pull my leg or play tricks - I love to pay them back with the same coin and then have a good laugh afterwards.

My music tastes are extremely different - I listen to everything beginning with classic music and ending with rock - and I can never know which song will touch my soul.

I think Postcrossing makes the world a bit smaller - it really is thrilling to handle a postcard with words written thousands of miles away from you.
I like all kinds of cards - I am just amazed at how many different types of postcards there are in the world!

I decided to start collecting stamps apart from the postcards. So if it is not too much for you and costs the same, please send me a card in an envelope. My favourite stamps topics are lighthouses, ships and animals.

If you don't know what to write - just tell me about your day, what you have just done before sitting to write a card, what is happening right now around you, where you write this card and what will you do next - it will be as if a window opens and lets me peek through it at your life :)

I'd like to receive something you would think I like or something you would like to share with me. I'll be happy about every card as long as it carries part of your personality with it.

I am looking forward to receiving many great postcards and reading about you :)

Sasha
