Sarvarakshani

I am Rakshi, a teacher from Sri Lanka. I love reading and learning about different people, cultures, food habits and traditions around the world. I also want my students to learn about other countries and the ways of life in other parts of life. Joined postcrossing to bring the world to my classroom, so my students can hear stories from around the world. The school doesn't allow postcrossing for the kids due to very strict child protection policies. So I thought I would join and through me they'll get to see the world.
I am a special needs educator/young learners ESL teacher. I've backpacked around South Asia and a couple of countries in South East Asia too. I host on couchsurfing. Live in a hundred year old house with a big garden that I inherited from a great aunt. Gardening, cooking, traveling, and reading are my hobbies. I am also into learning languages. Currently learning Malayalam and Hindi.
