Well, I discovered Postcrossing when I wanted to start up a pen pal program for kids and teens at my library, but it turns out that this postcard program works MUCH better! I've had so much fun administering that program, that I wanted to join for myself and so, here I am!

I have a husband named Jason. We have 3 cats in our house who are by turns warm and snuggly and ornery. They're our "kids," all boys (Hermie, Mo and 42). I also have 4 nieces and all our family lives nearby in our state of Oklahoma. I live in Broken Arrow now, but grew up in nearby Tulsa and have lived there for most of my life. We hope one day to move to the Pacific Northwest, but we shall see...

I've worked for the local public library system for almost 20 years now in various jobs. My favorite thing is reading books to little kids and getting them interested in reading. My goal is to become the Ms. Frizzle of the library system--I wear lots of goofy dresses: shark dress, dinosaur dress, a couple of cat dresses, Halloween dress, Christmas dress, the list goes on and on! I like being known for my kitschy dresses, ha!

I also love to read! I love fantasy, horror, sci-fi, pretty much anything. I read plenty of regular books, but also enjoy listening to audiobooks in my car, and I also love graphic novels (not super hero comics so much like Marvel or DC, but other stuff). I've just started getting into reading manga too!

Oh, as far as what kinds of postcards I'm hoping for--no preferences really. I love beautiful images and nature, but I also like kitschy stuff as well, so feel free to send me goofy things. It's really up to you. I'll be grateful for any postcard with a kind word. Feel free to tell me what you love the most about your town/country. Tell me what you like to read (if you read for fun that is)! Also feel free to gush to me about your pets! Also, please write something in your native language if it's not English! I love seeing how other languages look. Please also translate for me if you do this. ;) I also love quotes, so feel free to write your favorite quotes.
