About Saltcrown...

Hi! I'm 37 years old woman living in countryside in Finland. I live with my hubby and our dog (swedish vallhund).I work with agriculture, not as a farmer though. My hobbies are calligraphy, handcrafts, reading, landscape puzzles and I love history, specially period from prehistory to medieval and the time of art nouveau.

I love sending and receiving post, so postcrossing should be perfect way to keep that happening.

Here are "some" wishes:
- Art: old, modern, statues, paintings, illustrations, famous, not so famous, colourful, black&white... anything. (Names of artist and artwork would be nice to know, if possible.)
- Especially asian art, very simple or rich and colourful
- Colourful patterns (for example Moroccan style)
- Old (~more than 50 years) buildings: churches, cottages..
- Birds, especially magpies, crows, cranes, wagtails and robins, but any bird is very welcome
- Old paintings/photos of dogs, can be also with people
- Bouvier des flandres (dog breed)
- Map cards
- Folk/national costumes or traditional handcrafts
(From Finland: kansallispukukortit on erityisen tervetulleita)
- Historical events, places, people..
- Photos of old people generally
- Pippi Longstocking and also anything from illustrator Ilon Wikland
- Especially from Finland: Sibelius, Runeberg, Snellman, Minna Canth, Gallen-Kallela, Jarnefelt or any other "big cultural person" (writers, artists etc.)
- Calligraphy, old writings/texts/letters...
- United Kingdom or Ireland: lanscapes, flags, sightseeings...
- Pictures about german tv-serie Die Schwarzwaldklinik/The Black Forest Clinic (if there is any ever made :D ), OR landscapes from that area. I Love that show.
- And last but NOT least: Autumn/fall, the very best time of the year (falling leaves, rain, cold weather, first snow, harvest time... whatever there is).

But if I may ask, not any of these:
- no angels, babies, teddybears (they are too cute for me :D)
- no monkeys and spiders or other bugs (I can't handle them)
- from Finland: ei Stenvallia, Inge Löökiä, Mauri Kunnasta, muumeja tai muita vastaavia

These lists are for help and example of my favourite things, feel free to use your own imagination. :)

I speak english and swedish, but I have little skills about french and russian too, so I may try to understand those as well.

Thanks and happy postcrossing!
