Hola! I'm a writer and editor, living in Ohio via California and Costa Rica (where I lived for 10 years and 18 years, respectively). I am a big animal lover; we have 2 dogs and 8 cats at the moment (all of them rescues), and I read (mostly historical novels; Jane Austen is a favorite author), garden (orchids, bonsai and veggies), and quilt to relax. We used to keep backyard chickens, and I still like to collect chicken things. In addition to English, I speak Spanish and read Portuguese and French, so if you speak one of these languages I would love to receive a card in your native language!

I still have a lot of postcards from Costa Rica, so if you're wondering why you're getting a Costa Rican card from Ohio, that would be the reason. :)

I really like all kinds of postcards, but some of my favorites are (in no particular order)
-- wildlife
-- insects, snakes, lizards, animals people might find "creepy" :-)
-- orchids
-- art, especially "Naifs et Primitifs" and Bouguereau
-- food, drinks and recipes (especially vegetarian/vegan!)
-- funny cards
-- quilts/quilting
-- owls and raptors of all kinds
-- cool/interesting/vintage ad cards (*especially* if it is a product or place from where you live and that you particularly like!)
-- multiple things or collections on cards
-- chickens
-- movie posters
-- Star Wars/sci-fi
-- scenic views
-- music/bands
-- vintage cars, like 70s muscle cars and older sportscars (MGs, etc.)

Of course, feel free to send anything. Surprise me! The only cards I'm not so big on are buildings/architecture. I prefer the more wild side of life!
