Hello, my name is Jessica,
Warm greetings to everyone. Thank you for reading my profile.
I live in the English county of Lincolnshire. This is a large rural area on the east coast of the UK known for growing cereal and vegetable crops. Some of the land was reclaimed from the sea in the distant past and much of the county is flat land, but I live on the edge of the “Wolds” which is a small area of gently rolling hills.
I am interested in all things outdoor and in the countryside. I love my garden, and have flowers, fruit and vegetables.
I have collected postcards for the whole of my long life and keep them all in albums dedicated to many different themes. I have always enjoyed postcards of any subject as everything on a card interests me, but if I am choosing cards for myself I usually go for artist-drawn rather than photographic.
I am a cook and anything to do with food on a card is welcome - growing it, cooking it, eating it. I like maps and any "Greetings" cards, Christmas, birthday, Thanksgiving, any of the numerous special days of the year found across the world. I am also interested in history, in historic people and places, and in travelling on railways, but I prefer the steam-driven engines.
I shall be pleased to receive any cards that may be chosen for me - I like a pick and mix approach to life and enjoy the serendipity of surprises!
My “Favourites” are cards I really like very much, but have not received myself.
