My parents were both teachers and had summers off so we road-tripped a lot. During those family road trips, I sent postcards back to my friends at home - to let them know where we were and what we were up to. It was great fun selecting just the right card and composing a message for them - long before the days of Twitter, uh, X!

Postcards I like to receive:

*New for 2023*
- Shopping malls (Interiors or exteriors), Strip Malls, Vintage Main Street, and storefront shots.
- Postcards from "The American Postcard Company" (an '80s Pop Culture card publisher)
- Casinos, slot machines, games of chance, roulette wheel, poker games
- People bowling, bowling alleys, interior & exteriors
- Transgender themes (intentional or unintentional)
- Modern-day motel/restaurant promo cards that are currently being handed out to guests today.

1) Conspiracy Theories, secret societies, Mason symbols, UFOs.

2) Big Foot and other legendary creatures.

3) Hiking - Camping - Trails (Appalachian, PCT, CDT).

4) Vintage US Highway-related - Tunnels, Rock Cuts, Interchanges, Toll Booths, Gas Stations, Howard Johnsons, Mom & Pop Motels, Holiday Inns, Best Westerns, Stuckey's, Union Oil '76 cards.

4) Cards with an obvious agenda - religious, political, social engineering.

5) Clowns! Vintage circus & amusement parks

- Touristy cards of your town and state.

- Lighthouses! Dams, Fountains, City Parks, Monuments, Towers, Bridges, Stadiums, & Highway Rest Stops. (Any toilet humor for that matter!)

- Colorful landscapes or National Parks. State Parks wanted, too!

- Roadside Attractions, especially weird, embarrassing ones. World's Biggest, Santa Claus Lands, Mystery Spots, Historical Re-enactments, Mini-Golf, Zoos, Kiddie Lands, Themed-lands, Buildings made to look like people/things etc.

- Cards that make fun of historical figures, presidents, dictators, royalty, and religious leaders. Pro-USA cards. Patriotic. Propaganda. Trump.

- Punks or punk rock bands. Anarchy. Political Parties. Most anything from Ireland.

- Billboards, sandwich boards, misspellings.

- Cards about drinking, sobriety, DWI, MADD, Drug abuse, 12-step, or marijuana evils.

- Pointless, boring scenery. Scenery obstructed by lamposts, phone wires, poorly framed shots

- Out-of-date motel rooms with tacky decor. Old restaurants promo cards. All-you-can-eat and food challenge cards. Linen restaurant cards.

- Strange Cards that make you say, what were they thinking?

- Religious cards; sacrilegious, staged religious events, pageants, nativity, or Reborn-Christian themes are welcome. Nuns & pics of scary clergy members are encouraged
