About Marijke...

Hello Postcrossers!

I am genuinely excited to be a part of this exchange. I love seeing where people come from and hearing about their culture and lives.

My name is Marijke and I was born and raised in South Africa. I live in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband and 2 teenage children. I love the Netherlands but I do miss my birth country a lot.

That's why we travel to South Africa at least once a year to visit family and spend time in our favorite place in the whole world...’The Kruger National Park’. I love wildlife, and this is where I can live out my passion for photography. It’s just as they say. “I’m not an African because I was born in Africa, but because Africa was born in me!”

I also like traveling to other countries, especially countries where there is wildlife and beautiful nature.

My hobbies are reading, being in the outdoors and wildlife photography. You can see some of my photo's I sell on canvas here:

I also have a facebook photography page where I post most of my wildlife and nature photographs. https://www.facebook.com/Marijkes-photography-286624872034885/?modal=admin_todo_tour

I would love to hear from people all over the world and I think this is an amazing idea to receive cards that someone personally picked out for you and took some time to write you a little message. I will do the same.

I would be glad with any postcards!!! As long as you like it, I would like it too. But to give you an idea of what postcards puts a smile on my face when I receive them, here is a list....

Funny cards
Birds or Animals ( any kind of birds or animals)
Sunsets
Nature / views
Christian cards (Bible verses)
your city or a city in your country

When writing your postcard, PLEASE include your Member Name. That allows me to view your profile before sending a "Thank You" message to make it more personal.

Happy postcrossing! I am looking forward to receive a card from you!
