Riverboy

I'm living in Joensuu (population 78'000) surrounded by forest, big lakes, rivers and swamps in North Karelia, Eastern Finland. I worked in newspapers - marketing, advertizing selling packaging materials over 30 years. I have been working and travelling in Finland, quite a lot in Russia, Northern and Baltic countries.
I like to take care of my health ans physical condition. I walk with my dachshund (my avatar ) and go to gym 2-3 times a week, also hike in mountains in Lapland two three times a year. I do cross-country skiing wintertime ( we have snow about 6 months ). I’m interested in nature in many ways. Simply eg. looking at lake landscape with birds also in the evening or at night summer time. I like to study geography and climate in different areas: countryside, sea, islands...

I read rather lot. Historical, realistic literary, written by authors round the world, is my object of interest. I like 1800's top Russian authors Dostojevski, Leo Tolstoi, Gogol also Solzenitsyn. My Favourites are also Steinbeck, Hemingway, Faulkner and Vonnegut.
