Hi fellow postcrossers!

My name is Riikka and I am an elementary school teacher who is currently a proud guide of eager-to-learn 3rd graders. My pupils are really interested in postcrossing and learning about the world via the cards I get. I live in a small town only about 40kms from our capital Helsinki with my hubby, two daughters and an English Cocker Spaniel called Jerry.

I love the outdoors; hiking, geocaching and catching Pokémons too! :D Reading is my passion, I'm a bake-a-maniac and I love movies and tv-series; cartoons (especially Disney:) ), comedy, romantic, musicals, historic, action, black and white.. Pretty much everything except horror. Hayao Miyazaki's cartoons and Studio Ghibli movies are close to my heart, me and my kids we just LOVE Totoro! :) <3 I even have a Totoro tattoo on my arm!

I also have always had a special place in my heart for old VW Beetles and Minivans as well as Harley Davidson motorcycles. I have travelled some, mostly in Europe but during my university years I spent a semester in the east coast of the US (UNCW<3). There are still tons of places I'd love to visit, New York being on top of my list!

I'd love to receive cards that are:
* showing some landmarks, landscapes, food, culture, musical instruments or other special features of your country/city
* cards with interesting pictures that we can either count (maths) or write about with my class
* GF -cards (Greetings from... by Postallove)
* black and white cards with people, views or animals on them (I love owls and elephants!), maybe with one colorful accent
* Royal families
* KEEP CALM -cards
* colorful pictures of desserts or nature
* pictures of paintings by famous -or infamous but from your country- artists
* pictures of Totoro, VW Beetles, Minivans and English Cocker Spaniels
* Pokémons
* seasonal cards
* cards with stickers
* Krtek (the Mole), Moomins, Barbapapa etc.
* Oh and I'm a polka dot -fanatic as well! :D

You can also share with me your favourite quotes, some travelling tips, movie/book recommendations, your favourite recipe, something in your own language or what ever you feel like! :) And if there's a riddle or a nursery rhyme (even in your own language, with a translation) you'd like to share with my pupils, they would love that!
