Greetings!

While living in California for six years, I became an avid runner. I ran a half-marathon once, but 10k is my favorite distance. I try to run in 1-2 races a year, especially if they have silly themes! I also love books. It's actually an addiction. What is your favorite book and why? I'm also an avid collector of quotes!

I just graduated with a PhD in Chemistry and have moved back to my native Illinois to pursue a job in education. If you have any tips for working in the classroom, pass them along!

I really enjoy meeting new people, so share a little about yourself. Your likes, hobbies, or places you've traveled that you think everyone else should visit. I haven't done much traveling yet, but it's on my list in the future and I would appreciate any suggestions anywhere around the world!

I've made it a practice to send postcards to my friends whenever I do travel, and it's lovely to find a greater community that also has an affection for it. All postcards are welcome, and I'd love to receive ones of landscapes, city views, animals, vistas, art, or things or places iconic of your country.
