About Sharon...

I’m a pharmacist and live in Minnesota in the USA. Animals, nature and conservation are my main passions. I live with my husband and kids, three kitties, a pug-dog, a German shepherd and an African grey parrot. My favorite hobby is collecting postcards with pugs on them (new or old). I've received several pug postcards through Postcrossing and I just couldn't believe that strangers would go out of their way to send me a card with a pug on it. Amazing!...and thank you so much.

I also like reading, flowers (especially orchids and purple ones) artwork...impressionist paintings are my favorite. I also really like Surrealism (Salvador Dali) I love to celebrate holidays with lots of decorations. Vintage postcards are welcome in my mailbox and I really enjoy it when I receive postcards with photographs that the sender has taken. How special that is. I like outdoor activities...anything out in nature. When I go hiking I like to try to find the names and study the plants/insects/birds that I see. I love all creatures...even the "ugly" ones and would enjoy postcards with unusual sea creatures or microscopic ones. I have a biology degree
and I know a lot about animals, but would love to be surprised by ones I don't know about. Traveling is something I'd really like to do more of and would be very happy with any postcard you'd like to send me. :)

I have discovered that I enjoy sending a special postcard as much as to receive a special one. That really surprised me but it is so much fun to try to find a postcard with a certain interest for someone else. I feel so much joy when I open my mailbox and have received a postcard and I hope the ones I send make someone else as happy as they make me.

During these difficult times, it's so nice to have a place to go and look at postcards that have been received and to read the warm words of other Postcrossers on pc sent to me. This is such a kind, caring group of people and I'm very honored to be a part of it all.
