About RainyDay2014...

Hello from the USA!

I live in the state of Missouri, right in the middle of the US.

A few fun facts about Missouri:
Nickname: The Show-Me State
Missouri has over 5,000 caves.
Home of the Gateway Arch in St Louis--tallest US monument.
St. Louisans eat more BBQ sauce per capita than any other city in America!
Major Industries - farming (corn, soybeans), mining (zinc, lead), aircraft equipment

I enjoy so many things it's hard to narrow it down!! Baking, crafting, walking through the trees or along a beach, hopping into the car with my husband and taking a roadtrip, spending time with family, ice cream, reading, getting up early and hearing the neighbors rooster, finding a tiny tree at my dads farm and digging it up to plant in my yard, and on and on and on.............

I love all the postcards I've received!!! My Post Office is closed by the time I get home from work, so I don't usually have the thrill of finding them in my mailbox. But, my husband props them up by my keyboard for me to find when I get home. It's fun to turn the light on and see postcards sitting there waiting for me!! :o)

I'll enjoy any you choose for me, but if you like a list to help you decide, here are a few ideas:

-landmarks of your country/tourist view
-map cards
-something that makes you think--"oh, how pretty!"
-farm life: barns, windmills, tractors, fence row...
-old clocks, tools or woodcarvings (for my husband)
-road signs/town signs/street scene
-something handmade
-in or out of an envelope, I don't care, whichever is best for you

Please--tell me something about yourself, or about where you live or work. Or maybe what you like to do on the weekends or while on vacation.

Thanks for reading my profile and have a great day!!!
