Hello from the USA!!
This is such fun!! My little Post Office is closed by the time I get home from work, so I don't usually have the thrill of finding them in my mailbox. But, my husband props them up by my keyboard for me to find when I get home--it's great to turn the light on and see postcards sitting there waiting for me!! :o)
A few of the things I enjoy: baking, walking through the trees or along a beach, hopping into the car with my husband for a road trip, pressing pennies in a "penny press" machine found at touristy places, ice-cream, planting flowers, reading, getting up early and hearing the neighbors rooster, collecting travel pamphlets at rest stops to help plan future road trips, looking thru flea markets to find those old Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew books I loved reading as a kid, finding a tiny tree at my dads farm and digging it up to plant in my yard, "hobby-hopping" as my husband calls my various creative pursuits!! and on and on............
I love all the postcards I've received--being given a glimpse of places I may never see and reading a message from someone in that place is such a treat!! I'll truly enjoy any postcard you choose for me, but if you like a list to help you decide, here are a few ideas:
-tourist view--extra special if the name of your country is on the front!!
-cards that show words in your language with the english translation
-something that makes you think--"oh, how pretty!"
-farm life: barns, windmills, tractors, fence row, farmers market......
-city life: taxi, bus, people at a traffic light, sidewalk cafe......
-ferris wheels/carnivals/fairs and festivals
-in or out of an envelope, I don't care, whichever is best for you!!
Please--tell me something on the back of the card. About yourself, where you live or work, what you like to do on the weekends or on vacation, a silly moment, your favorite flavor of ice cream, just anything!! :o)
Thanks for reading my profile and have a great day!!!
*** If you live near one of those penny press machines I mentioned above--I'd love to swap a pressed penny with you along with a postcard! I have several extra ones.***
