Hi there, my name is Asta.

I grew up in Lithuania, but since the early 2000s I call Nevada, US my home.
Books are the best thing :) - science fiction, YA and horror novels are my favorite genres and Stephen King and Neil Gaiman are my favorite authors. I love Lewis Carroll's "Alice" books and Winnie-the-Pooh will always occupy a special place in my heart.

I also love watching movies and tv shows; some might even say that I am a little bit addicted to them :D (I love Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, American Horror Stories, Caroline, Sherlock, Grace and Frankie, Man in the High Castle, The Golden Girls, Supernatural; Inception, Professional, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Fifth Element, Moulin Rouge, Love Actually, Kill Bill, Matrix, Jumanji, John Wick, Practical Magic, Terminator, Pan's Labyrinth, Speed and many many more).

As far as other hobbies go - I love traveling, playing game boards, cooking and baking, love getting involved in various DIY projects (latest discovery is painting by numbers :)) ; I love exercising and learning about nutrition and better ways to fuel my body; I love running, hiking and snowshoeing in the beautiful Sierra mountains.

I looooove rain; it does not matter if it's a light drizzle or a huge storm, rain puts me in a very good mood.

I believe that family and true friends are the most important things that one can have in this life.

As for the postcards, I will be very happy with any kind of card that you think is special, but especially with images associated with rain, fog, umbrellas, rain boots and etc.; poppies and hydrangeas (those are my favorite flowers); anything to do with Paris; books and movies; sweet treats, coffee in the morning (or whenever); coffee/tea pots are the coolest. Lately, I've got interested in owls :)

Please save "touristy", cards with insects and reptiles, advertisements, postcrossing meet-ups and handmade cards for those who might appreciate them better than I will.

When sending me a postcard please tell me what was the last book you read and why you like it/disliked it, would you recommend it to others; OR what is the current goal that you are working on; OR what was your favorite dish growing up; OR do you listen to podcasts, if so what is your favorite; OR what is something you cannot imagine your life without? I appreciate you taking the time and writing to me something personal.

Please understand that if my card goes to a postcrosser who has no profile, I will probably not put a lot of effort for my message to you either. Also, I will only register cards that I received.
