Olá! (Hello!)

I am a cat and book lover from a small town in the north of Portugal. I was born a quarter of a century ago, under the sign of Aries, on March 21st and my name is Rita. I love sunny days in winter and the scent of citrus and cinnamon. My favorite color is red because it is a color of joy and passion. Besides, it's the color of my favorite football club, SL Benfica.

In my free time I love cooking, gardening, yoga and painting watercolors. Cinema is another of my passions. I'm a big fan of classical Hollywood cinema and despite the time difference, I never miss the Oscars’ ceremony. Some of my favorite directors are Wes Anderson, Agnes Varda, Wong Kar-Wai and Jacques Demy.

I’m also a big Eurovision fan!

I am very curious to know more about other countries and cultures and postcrossing provides an excellent opportunity to do so, allowing me to see the world through the postcards I receive and through the words I read.

All postcards are welcome!
But if you have any doubts about what postcard send me, I can give you some suggestions that would make me very happy:
- Typical tourist postcards (which always make me google those places and dream of visiting them)
- Movie related (movie posters or actors like James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn…)
- Cats
- Fairies
- Eurovision
- football or tennis (Roland Garros/UEFA Euro /FIFA world cup)
- paintings, illustrations and graffiti;
-Inge look, Alexey Dolotov paintings, jetoy cats
-handmade postcards
- Christmas & new year.

If possible, I would love for you to share with me something about you or about your country, a recipe that you love, your favourite sentence or word in your native language with the respective translation to English, a movie or a band from your country that you like… Words definitely enrich a postcard!

I'm always excited about choosing the right postcard to send and making someone happy. When I receive a postcard, I feel like a kid in a candy store!
