About Mari...

Hello / Dag from Haarlem.
VREDE. PEACE. PAIX. FRIEDEN. PAX. MIR. SALAM.
I try to live with a minimum of judgment, but my, people are such a quarrelsome lot.

Quote: “Fascism is cured by reading, Racism by Travelling.” (Miguel de Unamuno). Postcrossing could do both, if we allow people’s truths to be in the open.

Long ago I was a librarian. I'm interested in biology, science, history and worldly affairs, but my love is with the arts (all of them).

Creed: Be good to Mother Earth & oppose War and Wrongdoing. You can do it. You can at least try. Personally I find this a moral obligation to our fellow-men and to future generations. If you consider yourself too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito (quote of the Dalai Lama).

Music from Georgia I’m a fan of. Listen to Khorumi (Dance for Freedom) by Lisa Batiasjvili composed by Nikolov Rachveli, 2022.

Send me any card that's interesting but difficult to find a receiver for. I’m not fond of tourist cards. Cute cards are wasted on me too. And please, no meet-up cards with just names. Let the card tell me something about YOU.

I prefer standard-sized cards. Envelope or no envelope. I love art stamps, unusual stamps.

Cards received I do not fave, but I will write an appreciation, of course.
I appreciate any information of the image on the postcard you are sending and I love captions beneath the pictures on our walls. It saves so much time in cases one wants to find out.

Thanks very much in advance for all your efforts.
