I live in Washington State, about an hour north of Seattle. Our family consists of my husband and I, daughter (23), son (15), an English Bulldog and an Ecclectus (parrot).

I love to travel and discover new places. I love mountains and forests but I also enjoy a fun day in the city.

I love to read, just about anything; murder mysteries, fantasy, and more. I love the theater, especially musicals, and movies. My favorite color is purple.

I love to learn and explore the world. I love to receive any and all types of postcards because I think each one will bring a unique view of the world and the people in it. I love languages (I used to speak some French) so something in your language with an English translation would be wonderful. I would love to hear about you and your life, if you wish to share; to me Postcrossing is more about the people we meet than the cards.

I truly and honestly will love any card I receive, but if you would like more to go by here are some things I love (the list is long because I like so many things!). My Favorites List is a combination of cards I have received and cards I've seen that I love. If I haven't received the card yet and it's on my favorites I would love to get it.

-Tourist cards - I would love to learn about where you are from; where you live; or places you have been that you love
-National flags, languages, distinctive cultural traits
-Castles and architecture, old buildings, old barns
-Animals - Big cats are a favorite. My husband loves wolves, my son loves turtles, and my daughter loves otters so those are favorites with me too; but I like all animals
-Bulldogs - always soooo cute!
-Beautiful cards - Postcards that have some interesting pattern, are pretty or eye-catching, or display contrasting colors or interesting shapes (spiral staircases, doors & windows)
-Books and libraries
-Bicycles - photographed in a pretty or interesting way
-Landscapes - I love the beauty of nature
-Mythical - Fairies, Mermaids, Elves, Unicorns, Pegasus
-Traveling Nomes
-Volkswagen Beetles or "Bugs" (not insects, but the car)- my family plays an endless game of "slug bug"!
-Movies or theater; classic movies, classic actors and newer movies and actors too. I love Harry Potter and Star Trek
-Disney and Pixar - I love Disney and Pixar animated movies (I'm just a big kid I guess)
-Pop culture, famous people
-Tea, tea cups, tea pots
-Funny cards
-Construction equipment - I work in construction so I love pictures of "yellow iron"
-Piano related or music related - I'm learning to play piano.
-Paintings - classics by the masters
-Handmade - if you're creative and want to share I would love it
-Anything that speaks to you and you want to send. I am always happy when I receive a card.
