I love travel and have always loved postcards, but most people I know don't really send any mail anymore. This is fun!
I live in a rural area a quick ferry ride away from Seattle, WA in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. It rains here all the time, but that's what keeps it so green and beautiful. I was born in Germany but have lived in this area for most of my life. It's a great place to get out and enjoy nature. Hiking is my favorite way to see the nearby mountains, woods, and ocean.
Learning the details about the history and culture of a new location is what I love best about travel - the spots that are not swarming with tourists are the best places to go! History books, podcasts, and documentaries are some of my favorite ways to spend time.
I also do a lot of geocaching, which does the same thing - helps take you to places you wouldn't otherwise know about.
I love postcards of all types, but anything related to water (oceans, rivers, lakes), landscapes, or local animals are my favorites. I also like reading about unique or historical places. I'm a huge Disney fan and love science fiction and fantasy novels - Star Wars, LotR, the Witcher, Harry Potter, GoT, But send me anything at all - what's your favorite?
I love planning trips and researching new places to visit, even when travel is paused. I can't wait to get back to seeing the world in person!
