About Robin...

There has been another above inflation hike in the cost of postage in the UK. And I have just worked out that I would be spending so much on post cards and postage over the next year that I could have a really nice holiday instead - probably two. There really is no contest.

I will continue to register every card that arrives here.

My main hobby is - Geocaching (www.geocaching.com)
Job - Social Worker, mentally disordered offenders (see above)
I have 2 grown up children 22 and 24. Single.
Music nut. Dave Matthews, Richard Thompson, Mike Oldfield. Classical, Jazz, Folk, World - you name it.

I'd prefer cards with pictures from where you live but don't go out looking specially. I will probably send you views of the Hitchin Area. Hitchin is a small place and not so many tourists come here so I don't have access to a great variety. It would be nice if you would send me a weather report. I'm English. It's what we talk about don't you know. ;¬)

I have become very fond of cards from Finland. I am building up quite a collection from all over the country.

If you have sent me a card and it looks like it might have gone astray after a few weeks please send me a message.

This is an invitation to Postcrossers visiting the UK and who find themselves in this area. Hitchin is a 30 minute train ride from London. If you would like to stay in my home and use my spare bedroom contact me. The rail fare to London is MUCH cheaper than staying in a hotel and I will do what I can to help you plan your stay.

I may mention web sites on my card. If you can not reading my writing, I'm sorry, but it is likely to be one of the ones below:-

Where my postcrossing name comes from - I love mine to bits:-

My avatar? Well that is probably the letter box your card started it's journey from.

Hitchin.

I spend a lot of time using $14bn worth of military satellites to find lunch boxes hidden in the woods.

AFC Wimbledon - A football club with a special history. Not a Hitchin club, but the one I follow at home and away.

Black Squirrels. They are big. They are fierce. They will bite your head off! (No, not really. They are small and cute).

Lardy cake. Food of the Gods (or at least the tubby ones).
