Hello all :)

My name is Varun and I'm from the city of Bangalore (now Bengaluru) in south India. I'm 29 years old.

I worked as a software engineer at Amazon but I'm currently on a break and want to figure out something else to do.

I'm a little introverted and I like to sit in my cozy room and read up about the places around the world and get to know the culture, history, languages and demographics of different countries :) I also love learning new languages and understanding similarities between different languages and etymologies of words. Its fascinating to know how languages/words spread geographically through conquests or exchange of cultures.

I also love exploring new cuisines but I'm a vegetarian as are most people in India. Postcrossing is a natural addition to my hobbies as I get to learn new cultures and talk to people from around the world.

I'd like any postcard that you have to send but I love anything that has something specific to your country. I also love stamps that are very specific to your country's culture.

If you're sending the postcard in an envelope, you can put in something connected to your city or country; could be a candy wrapper, a movie ticket stub, a flyer or currency or anything you can think of. I'll be really thrilled!
