I lived 30 years in Paris, but I'm now 40 kms south-west near this City of lights.

I like all sorts of postcards (handmade or drawned too), so follow your feelings. But if you have amusement parks, fun fairs, trains and around, commercial aircrafts and airports, boats on water, Halloween (anytime) or 3D cards, squirrels, chinchillas, Pokémon, these are my favorites. I love lights too, beautiful/amazing/colorful/unusual landscapes or pictures, natural phenomena (like storms, etc.) are also welcome.
I'm not particularly a fan of cards of babies, cats, dogs, dolls, costumes, tissues made, military or war things, but do as you want.
Do not be afraid to be original, your sensitivity is primarily expressed in all cases I would be delighted to receive the card you have chosen.
I use to write my Postcrossing user name after the id number on the card, that way the receiver can know me a little bit better before registering the card I've sent. Don't be afraid to do the same :) !
