Hello. My name is Carolyn (Carolina) Abballo, and I am a retired teacher living in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Rafael, California). My Italian ancestry has developed my interests in cooking, knitting, appreciation for the arts, museums, concerts, soccer, and visiting relatives in Italy (Lucca area).
I live in a beautiful area of California. I am near the Pacific Ocean and take walks around the many hiking trails along the coast as well as my neighborhood. There are many activities in the SF Bay Area such as sporting events, concerts, theatre, and many, many outdoor activities. The only problem....there is too much automobile traffic. So many people want to live here because we are the "tech" community.
I enjoy reading (mystery, and detective novels), doing crafts with my grand nieces and nephews, knitting, and playing cards (Mah Jong and Canasta) with friends, and watching baseball.
My new goal now that I am retired is learn to speak Italian.
I enjoy any type of postcard, but especially those who show pictures of the area you are from or something that is about you, your interests.
