Pany

My hometown is the capital of Finland, Helsinki/ Helsingfors. I recently turned 70 and have retired from work some five years ago. At work my days used to be busy, but nowadays they are even more busy and filled with activities I get to choose myself. In my country we enjoy four seasons and are blessed with a spectacular nature. Lots of woods, open space, thousands of lakes, many, many islands in our vast archipelago- so outdoor life is a natural thing for us. I spend the winter season in our city home and summer at our house in the archipelago. Out on the island chopping wood and fishing with nets are some of my favorite things to do. I keep frequent contact to my four grandchildren. As a teenager ( long time ago! ) I used to have penpals all over the world and now discovering Postcrossing really thrills me.
