About Päivi...

Hi,
I am Päivi, from Central Finland, close to the city of Jyväskylä. My family consists of my spouse and daughter (11 years old), and we have also a black cat called Manu and three dogs in the house, Vilma, Valo and Tuula, all are norbottenspets.

We live in the countryside and I like the surrounding nature a lot. I do many different outdoor sports -hiking, orienteering, bicycling. I like to collect and grow different plants in the house and in the garden. Peatlands and lakes are my favorite places in the nature. I love picking mushrooms and berries in the forest.

At home I like to do hand crafts, mostly knitting. I would also like to read a lot but usually don't have much time for that. Sofi Oksanen is one of my favorite authors. I have always liked to send postcards and small presents to my friends. And I would like to share this joy with my daughter, too.

What kind of postcards I would like to receive.. hmm..
just to give you some ideas:
-Anything related to my interests
-People and nature, people at work
-Native/indigenous people and traditions
-Photos or illustrations of orchids, cacti, mosses and other plants, seashells, fish, mushrooms, owls, small wild birds ...
-Wildlife and nature views of your country
-Cards supporting endangered wildlife
-Map cards
-Peatlands, forests and other landscapes
-Black and white photos of historic events, places, people
-Vintage, retro reprints
-Handcrafts, homing, gardening
-Findus & Pedersen (Viiru&Pesonen) is my daughter's favorite
-Bunnies, cats, sheep and other domestic animals, my daughter will like these especially.
-Kettlebell sports or orienteering card would be a great surprise
-Maxicards are also so very interesting

You can also check my favourites on the postcards wall to have ideas, those cards I would like to have.

And nice stamps are also most welcome. The card can be with or without envelope, which way you find best.

....
And what to write .. for example; Would be nice to read how was your day today, things that made you especially happy. Is there something you are very much looking forward to? Are there interests or hobbies that we share? And if you like knitting, of course write what is on the pins right now :)

I hope everyone Happy Postcrossing!
Best wishes
Päivi
