Recent update- So due to some questions...with COVID and my country being extremely stupid about it, I want to assure everyone that I am healthy and will not send cards if I feel ill. I am a health care worker and am frequently tested.
Hello! I live in Oregon USA. I am 40 something (going on 14), have 4 cats, 1 American Quarter Horse, and am happily married. I like being outdoors, hiking, gardening, horseback riding, reading, travelling, and many other things.
My favorite part of Postcrossing, is trying to pick out the perfect card for someone, so I appreciate when they post their likes and dislikes. That being said, I'm happy with whatever you send me, because sometimes something totally not expected is a favorite. The ones in my favorites, are ones I have received. But here are a few of my likes/dislikes
-Beautiful Landscapes. Mountains/rivers/ocean it doesn't matter, what makes your country beautiful?
-Flowers/Japanese Gardens/Formal Gardens
-Animals (Can't go wrong with cats and horses, or hummingbirds, but I like other animals too, except snakes!) Seriously NO SNAKES. I am scared of snakes. Yes I know it's irrational, and no your card won't change my mind. If you send me a snake card, you basically just wasted a card on me. Yes, this is a problem!!
-Funny/quirky cards (Don't worry about offending me!)
-I'm an avid Anglophile, so anything UK related is appreciated!
-I'm also a history nerd, and always interested in learning about new places
-I'm sadly not artistic, so artsy cards are somewhat wasted on me
-Alcohol- Your national drinks would be fun to see!
-Holiday cards, especially Halloween (during the appropriate holiday times please. I find it baffling to get a Christmas card in May!)
-My husband enjoys all the cards too, and he likes fishing, dinosaurs, and computer themed things (AI, technology, robots...)
-I like surprises too, so don't be afraid to think of something completely different than what is listed here
P.S. I really hate uploading pictures. It makes it feel like work, and I do this for fun. Sorry!
