Hi there,

We are 12 year old twin girls who live in a little country village called Coalgate, about 45 minutes drive outside of Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. We live with our Mum and Dad plus lots of chickens, ducks, a Golden Retriever dog called Piper and a cat called Blackie.

Our village has about 300 people living in it and it has a river lying to the south of us (at times we can hear the noise of the river if we listen carefully enough!) and with the Southern Alps only about 1 hours drive to the west of us. We are at the edge of the Canterbury plains and we are only about 50 minutes from the beach (the Pacific Ocean) as well. We have everything within a reasonable travelling distance which makes life interesting!! On a still night we can go outside and hear cows, sheep, horses, and stags as well. We have lots of farm land around the village and we love to hear the noise of all the different animals too.

We go to a High School in Christchurch and we are Year 8.

We both play Netball in the winter and we love it! We love to swim as well and enjoy swimming in the local river and at the local school pool.

We would love to recieve postcards of cute animals :) If you do not have one, we really do not mind :). Tell us something about where you live, about you or something along those lines. You could even write a little in your country's native language :) Please write clearly so we can read it well and write the date so we know what day you send it :) But we really do not mind what sort of postcards you send :)
