A message from people I don't even know,
a scratch about me to some foreign fellow.
A little card so small and fine,
just about right for a simple line.
To giggle, laugh and grin and smile,
to be melancholy, docile.
To dance and jump and kid around,
be silent, calm or to make some sound.

Hello there!
I’m very excited to receive postcards from all over the world!

I’m 32 years old and since 2006 I have been living in the city of Hamburg in Northern Germany.
When I moved here from Bavaria (Southern Germany) I couldn’t imagine to stay so long in one place, let alone in a big city, because I grew up in a very small village, surrounded by wild nature and animals and I loved that. But Hamburg surprised me by being an extremely beautiful city with amazing people. I found a new home and my best friend and so I stayed.
But I still quite often miss my mountains and wildflower meadows and then I go to the docks and watch the sunrise over the container ships and listen to the chatter of the seagulls.

I love nature and animals and I am particularly fascinated by
- owls
- insects
- frogs
- octopuses
I also really like cows, dogs and cats, wales, bears and magpies.
But I think I just really like all living animals :)

I enjoy local lores and fairy tales that are tied to specific places.

My hobbies are mostly activities where I can be creative, like drawing, painting, crocheting, embroidering and carving.
My favorite pastimes are cooking and baking and finding new ways to gift food to my friends.
I also like to read a lot.

Since I love creative stuff, I like handmade or self printed postcards just as much as store bought ones!
I would love to hear about anything that interests you or maybe you know some interesting things about the place where you live.
