About Irina...

Прошу прощения у того, кто отправил мне в октябре открытку с Псковским собором. Так случилось, что не могу её зарегистрировать и определить номер через сервис поиска не удалось. Отзовитесь, пожалуйста, напишите ID личным сообщением.

Dear Postcrosser,
here is a little story about me that could help you to choose a card to send.

I was born and still live here, in St. Petersburg, which is very close to Finnish and Estonian borders. The city is placed on the Gulf of Finland shore (Baltic Sea), on the North-West of Russia, and is famous for its culture and "White Nights" season (May-July, when the nights are very-very short due to the Polar Day time).
But as my father is Moldavian, I used to live for several years in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. I was learning the Romanian language, literature and history there, so I still understand both Romanian and Moldavian, even I do many mistakes now :))
I am a lucky person, because one month I had spent at a summer language school in Ueda-shi, Nagano-ken, Japan. And yes, I still can use Japanese, several years later)

Japan is my love. I saw the Sailor Moon series once upon a time, and since then... I'm not an anime otaku (fan), I'm not crazy about Japan and Japanese, I know many unpleasant stories and things, but still love this alien world.
But not only this country inspires me. I like multicultural Asia with all its religions, islands, cultures, nations...

In general, I call myself "lingua-maniac". I'm interested in numerous variants of seeing, understanding and constructing the world, that are reflected through the language. I like to learn, to hear and speak, to get into different languages, though I don't know any of them perfectly. I used to learn: Spanish, German, French, Latin, Hebrew, Japanese, Romanian...

In 2014 I became a mother of a boy! If you have children, you may tell me something interesting about them (their hobbies, preferences, habits, how you manage with them, play or teach them new things...)

I like sports! I used to practice gymnastics, aerobics, dances, swimming, choreography, fitness, capoeira, ki-bo... now I suddenly felt in love with jogging!
I still try to incline my family to the healthy food lifestyle. Middling success.(
I like cooking! Vegetarian recipes inspirit me (I'm not vegetarian, but the recipes are startling).
And I'd rather prefer tea than coffee. ;)

Coffee beans, by the way, are a great material for handmaking. Creative work helps to put in order mind, so I appreciate it. Embroidery, carving (pumpkins in autumn!), braiding, floristic, drawing...
Each season of the year enchants me on its own way, so I do like them all. :)
